How to report something

You don’t need to be sure something is wrong. A feeling is enough.

Report

Every profile and every conversation has a report button. A moderator reviews every report, usually within a day. Depending on what we find, we warn the person or suspend the account.

What we do to protect you

Behind the scenes, multiple systems work together to keep 60dating.com safe.

Photo checks

Every photo is checked before others can see it. First by our system; a moderator looks at anything in doubt. Photos that aren't allowed don't go live.

Advanced message scanning

Our system automatically scans messages for suspicious patterns such as fraud, money requests and attempts to lure you off the platform.

Verified profiles

Recognisable by a badge. Verification via a live video increases the trustworthiness of a profile.

Protection of your data

Your email address and phone number are not shown on your profile. Phone numbers and email addresses in messages are hidden, unless your membership allows sharing them.

Scammer detection

Our system recognises previously suspended accounts based on multiple signals when they attempt to register again.

Profile text checks

We check profile texts for contact details, inappropriate content and signs of scams. If the system is unsure, a moderator takes a look.

Video calls on the site

See and talk to someone on video first, without sharing your phone number. Video calls are possible between two Premium Plus members, and in any conversation a Premium member has unlocked.

Trust badges on every profile

On every profile and in every conversation you can see immediately how trustworthy someone is. Our badges give you a clear signal.

Verified

This member has confirmed their identity via a live video verification or a successful payment.

Approved

This profile has been manually checked and approved by a moderator.

Not yet verified

This profile has not yet been manually checked. Be extra cautious and pay attention to the safety tips.

Warnings in chat

In conversations we automatically display a warning when a profile has not yet been verified. This way you always know who you're talking to and can assess for yourself how cautious you want to be.

What you can do

Safe dating is teamwork. Read our tips and stay alert.

Never send money

Someone you've met online is asking for money? Don't do it, no matter how convincing the story sounds.

Meet in a public place

Always choose a busy location such as a café or restaurant for a first date. Arrange your own transport.

Protect your personal information

Don’t share your address, surname or financial details too soon. Get to know someone properly first.

Trust your instincts

Something doesn't feel right? That's a reason to be cautious. Report suspicious behaviour using the report button.

Frequently asked questions about safety

How do I know if a profile is genuine?

Look for the badge. ‘Verified’ means the person recorded a live video or made a payment. Photos and texts are checked, by our system and by a moderator if in doubt. Still unsure? Suggest a quick video call, or report it.

What happens when I report suspicious behaviour?

A moderator reviews your report, usually within a day. If someone has broken the rules, we warn them or suspend the account. Conversations with a suspended account are blocked.

Can someone see my personal details?

Your email address, phone number and surname are not shown on your profile. Phone numbers and email addresses in messages are hidden, unless your membership allows sharing them.

Are my messages read by staff?

Messages are automatically scanned by our security system. Staff only read messages when a report has been made or the system detects something suspicious.
